Denise Severson

Denise joined the Countryside Veterinary Clinic team in 2012. Denise and her husband, Arlyn (or Ralph – as we know him!) live in Deer Park with their pets:

  • Hunter - was a 16 year old white lab who passed away in August 2020 - he was everyone's best friend and very loved!
  • Bear - is a 12 year old black lab.  He is the high jumper in the family and is also the problem child but they love him anyway.
  • Macaroni - is an orange  cat - he is a fun loving pack rat who loves to eat popcorn!

Other members of her family include Tyler & Mandy (son-in-law and step-daughter) and Brandon (Bud) & Ann Marie (step-son and significant other). Ann Marie has two sons Dominic and Jack.

Denise enjoys going to their cabin in Webster WI and spending time with her family and friends.  She loves being outdoors hunting and looking at wildlife.  She also golfs on Ladies League during the summer.

Ron Ramos

Ron joined Countryside Veterinary Clinic in October 2016 as a Veterinary Assistant.  Ron has a daughter, Adrianna who is 3 years old.

Ron comes from a military background having been in the Marines for about 9 years and has done 2 tours in Iraq and 2 tours in Afghanistan.

Upon release from the Marines, Ron decided to pursue his love of animals and work in the veterinary world.

Ron is also very active as a volunteer and currently serves as the Commander of VFW Post 10818 in New Richmond.

In his spare time Ron enjoys learning more about photography and shooting videos along with chasing after his daughter who is "fast as lightning"!

His favorite sports teams are the New York Yankees and Giants.  Ron is originally from The Bronx but we will work to turn his head toward the green and gold!

Sara Carpenter

Sara leases a horse name Hug (nickname Hug-O) - He loves a lot of attention and of course treat!

In her spare time, you can find Sara at the barn riding horses. She has been doing this since she was ten and has a true love for the sport. When she can find the free time, she also enjoys disc golfing!

Other hobbies include playing the piano (has been playing for 7 years), she considers herself a total geek when it comes to music and anime! Fun fact: Sara is known for her knowledge in what others might consider useless facts. She knows a little bit of something about everything and anything. We'll be testing her knowledge!

Kelsey Johnson

Kelsey joined us in November 2017. Kelsey grew up and resides with her family on their dairy farm in River Falls.

Kelsey graduated from Dakota County Technical College in 2019 from the Veterinary Technician Program.

She has one cat named Simba. Simba is a very independent cat and will forcefully take cuddles when she's ready. She also has a dog named Duke. Duke loves running around in the pasture with the cows, playing catch, wrestling and the four-wheeler.

Outside of work, she loves going to the mall, going to the movies (especially horror films), being outside and spending any free time she gets with her friends and family. She is not an avid sports watcher but does cheer for the Packers!

We love having Kelsey as a part of our team, and enjoy watching her grow in her role as a Veterinary Assistant.

Todd Pastorius

Todd joined Countryside Veterinary Clinic in November of 2013 as our weekend kennel guy.  Since that time Todd has been able to increase his hours with us and is now one of our veterinary assistants.  We love having Todd with us!  Todd is married to Kim and has 2 daughters along with 2 very large cats (Riot and Scooter) and 3 dogs (Stella, Reese and Beaner).  They have a full household!

In his spare time Todd likes to watch sports (not bowling!) – mostly Packers, Bucks, Badgers and the Brewers.  Go WISCONSIN!  Todd also does quite a lot of fitness training – biking, weight lifting and he loves to garden.  Todd makes AWESOME salsa!

Sofia Gigure

Sofia joined our team as a part-time Kennel Attendant in June of 2019. However, she had spent many years before that volunteering with us! Sofia lives with her parents Karen and Jason as well as her siblings Henry and Rosa. They have five loving cats: Mario, Charlie, Fleur, Boo and Kathryn.

Sofia is an incoming freshman at UMN-Twin Cities. We look forward to watching her grow within her field of interest! During her free time, Sofia loves playing the Oboe and Tenor Saxophone. She is also a fan of the Packers and enjoys watching them play.
