Shawna Mitchell
Shawna joined Countryside Veterinary Clinic May of 2002 and is our Lead Veterinary Technician. She grew up in central Iowa where she went to Des Moines Area Community College and completed a one-year program in Veterinary Technology.
Shawna and her husband, Kevin, have two daughters: Makayla (9 years old) and Taylor (6 years old).
Her pets include:
- Morgan - a 6 year old Boxer
- Zoey - a 4 year old Chihuahua
- Reese - a 15 month old Rat Terrier Mix
- Lumpy Frodo - a 2 year old Domestic Longhaired cat
When Shawna's not spending time with her children and family, she enjoys miniature golf, taking motorcycle trips, traveling, shopping, and scary movies.
Barb Frinack
Barb has been a Veterianary Assistant at Countryside since November 2007.
Barb and her husband have 2 sons: Alex and Zack. Barb's family shares their home with:
- Hunter - an 12 1/2 year old German Shorthair Pointer who loves to go fishing.
- Gunner - a 3 year old Beagle who is afraid of the dark but a great watch dog!
- DJ - a 16 month old German Shorthair Pointer who loves to pace in his kennel.
- Reggie - a 14 month old English Setter that can jump 4 feet off the ground to get to tree branches.
- Rocco - a 14 month old Miniature Dachshund who answers to the name "Weenie" and has to sleep burrowed under the covers.
In Barb's free time, she enjoys spending time with her kids and dogs, hunting, camping, photography, fishing, & swimming. She also loves to watch her kids play football and basketball for Amery Schools. In the fall, Barb lives for watching the Green Bay Packer Games, and this year she is especially looking forward to Favre fall on his face!
Alisha Haglund
Alisha is a Veterinary Assistant, and became a member of the Countryside Veterinary Clinic staff in 2006.
Alisha lives with her parents, Wayne & Sherry, her sister, Andrea, and her son, Aven. Her pets are:
- Brenna - a Chihuahua that is very protective.
- Bella - a Springer Spaniel that likes to sleep on her back.
- Precious - a Bichon/Cocker/Poodle mix that loves to play fetch.
- Bregetta - a gray Domestic Longhaired cat that is very adventurous.
- Brooklyn - a tortoiseshell Domestic Shorthaired cat that is playful and affectionate.
Alisha loves to spend time with her family. She also enjoys snowboarding, shopping, going for walks, scrapbooking, and playing sports. Alisha loves the Vikings. She has been to 2 games and makes sure she is wearing her Vikings jersey, even though the rest of her family is in green and yellow.
