Dr. John Swingle
Dr. John Swingle joined Countryside Veterinary Clinic in 1985. He grew up on a dairy, beef, and fruit farm in southeastern Ohio and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Swingle cares for both large and small animals and has a special interest in ear and skin problems in dogs.
Dr. Swingle and his wife, Teri, live on a small hobby farm with all of their critters. Their 3 children – Scott, Todd and Liz – have all grown up and moved away but visit regularly. Liz recently made Dr. Swingle and Teri "Grandpa & Grandma"!
Dr. Swingle has several pets at the farm and his horses, Cowboy, Gunner and Jeb (Dr. Swingle’s horses) enjoy eating and occasional riding trips. Dr. Swingle also fosters for Coco's Heart Dog Rescue - he couldn't part with Senna, a mixed breed, so she has been officially adopted into their family and Charlie AKA Baldwin remains a foster at their home. Charlie has 3 legs and has some special needs so he has the perfect foster situation. There are also some cats and a herd of Simmental Beef Cows on the farm that keep Dr. Swingle pretty busy and pretty happy.
Dr. Swingle’s hobbies include working on his hobby farm, riding his horses, camping and traveling. He is also an avid orienteering fan and participant. If he has a compass he is in good shape while he’s out on one of his horses. He enjoys competing in Mounted Orienterring with his Kentucky Mountain horse, Jeb. He is a fan of the Ohio State University Buckeyes along with the Green Bay Packers.

Dr. Smith and her husband Mark, have three school age children - Lauren, Carson and Erika.
They share their home with 5 pets. Gypsy is a Boxer/Coonhound mix who is not very bright (?) but they love her anyway! She seems to be on the lazy side, too. And Lilly is a young English Setter who has livened up the household. Naboo is the newest addition to the family and she is an English Setter, too. Misty and WIndy – very fat guinea pigs - squeal at any sign of food.
In her spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys swimming, scuba diving, photography, spending time with family, camping, hiking, or any other outdoor activity. Her favorite sports teams are the MInnesota Twins, and Gopher Basketball.
Dr. Corey Johnson
Dr. Johnson graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Johnson and his wife, Samantha along with 2 daughters - Evelyn who is 2 1/2 years old and Gwenyth who will celebrate her 1st birthday soon - moved to the New Richmond area and are happy to be close to his family - who live in Stillwater MN.
The Johnson family have a few pets: Viggo - a mixed breed who is know to the family as "The Policeman", Jasper - a domestic short-haired tuxedo cat who is the all-around trouble maker in the family and Sybil - a domestic short-haired tabby cat who looks like a cat but acts like a dog.
When Dr. Johnson has spare time he enjoys camping, fly fishing, hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and home repair & remodeling. Whew!
Unfortunately Dr. Johnson has not listed himself as a Green Bay Packer Fan - but we will assume the best there! He reports that his entire family is Die Hard Packer Fans and his father-in-law plans to buy him Green Bay Packer license plates as soon as he becomes a true Wisconsinite. He doesn't watch too many sports but when he does - he enjoys watching the All Blacks - New Zealand's rugby team.
Samantha and the rest of the family say that Dr. Johnson's special talent is that he is able to quote movies verbatim. Cool. We'll be testing him.
