Kendall LaCroix

Kendall started at Countryside in 2006 and grooms on Saturday by appointment.

Kendall lives in Minneapolis with her husband, Tom and their pets:

  • Isabelle – a 6 year old fluffly Pembroke Welsh Corgi.  She loves squeaky toys and playing “chase”.
  • Chairman Mau – a 5 year old Domestic Longhair tabby cat.  He likes love and attention but only if no one else (human or animal!) can see him enjoy it.
  • Amiri – a 2 year Domestic Shorthair cat.   He enjoys going outside on his leash and chasing bugs and mice (and the occasional squirrel.

Kendall graduated with a degree in photography so we don't see her as much as we used to. Kendall enjoys photography in underwater, wildlife, macro, landscapes and scenery.  She also enjoys going camping, hiking, scuba diving, and kayaking in her spare time.

Kendall says that they don’t watch sports – but if it’s on – she’s been know to cheer for Minnesota Wild, Pittsburgh Penguins, UCONN Women’s Basketball, Gopher’s Men’s Basketball, Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings.  Confused?  I think she watches sports!

Jami Hoffmeyer

Jami joined us in April of 2013 as an apprentice groomer.  She worked closely with Kendall to begin with and is doing a great job.

Jami and husband, Andy have several pets - Sammy, Winston, Willie &  Macy - miniature Dachshunds, Buddy - a "standard" dachshund, Pica, Abby, Wendy, Bobcat, Marlee, Francis, Steve & Carley - cats - some indoors some outdoors, Artie - leopard gecko, Orry - bearded dragon, & last but not least - Basil the corn snake.

Jami enjoys exploring the wooded areas on her property, gardening, crocheting and playing with her critters in her spare time.  Jami and Andy have a hobby farm that includes pigs, chickens and guinea foul.  She plans to add goats sometime in the future.  Macy - the smallest dog she has seem to deem herself as the "queen bee" and must supervise Jamie when she does anything outside.

And she is a die-hard Green Packer Fan.  Johnny Blood is a distant family relative – so she has no choice.  And her dad says so.

Ashley Messin

Ashley is the latest person to join our wonderful grooming team. She brings with her eight years of grooming experience. Currently, she lives with her fiancé Jake, son Bearett (9 months), and son Blake (10 yrs old).

She has three pets at home:

Peaches – a long haired dachshund who loves treats & sleeping (don’t we all!)

Bella – chocolate lab who loves playing fetch

Baby Cat – just a random cat who acts like a dog (totally normal right!?!)

When Ashley has spare time, she enjoys fishing & hiking. She is currently in her third year of college, studying environmental science with a minor in geology.

She does love the Packers so that automatically makes her a winner in our book. Ashley also likes to build demolition derby cars with her fiancé Jake and helping her parents with their archery and sports shop business.

Welcome aboard Ashley!
